The Lemon Formula
About
🍋 Lemon Formula CalculatorSo I want to talk about the lemon formula which I invented. What is it? How does it work and how can we use it? Well the lemon formula is the key to the universe. It should be taught in every mosque, shul, church and temple in the world. I'm going to try to make this really easy to understand. In one word the lemon formula makes it easy for human beings to understand energy. Have you ever been in an air conditioned room? That is a room with less energy or electrons.
So energy = electrons. In electrical theory we refer to energy as joules but joules themselves are too small of a unit to be practical for everyday life. Thus we think of energy in kilojoules which is equal to 1,000 joules. A kilojoule is equal to 6,242,000,000,000,000 electrons that's six quadrillion electrons in case you're wondering.
Here's a handy chart
| Unit | Conversion | Usage |
|---|---|---|
| Joule (J) | 1 | Basic SI unit |
| Kilojoule (kJ) | 1,000 J. | Food energy |
| Watt-hour (Wh) | 3,600 J | common for small devices |
| Milliwatt-hour (mWh) | 3.6 J | for tiny batteries |
| Kilowatt-hour (kWh) | 3,600 kJ | standard for household electricity billing |
| Megawatt-hour (MWh) | 1,000 kWh | for industrial or grid-scale energy |
| Gigawatt-hour (GWh) | 1,000 MWh | for power plants |
| Terawatt-hour (TWh) | 1,000 GWh | for global energy consumption |
It just so happens that one lemon is equal to 100 kJ of energy. This is the basis of the lemon formula. Some countries wisely use kJ instead of calories. The average human requires 8,500 kJ of food energy a day. That's 85 lemons!
So far so good right? Well it doesn't stop there. To get the most out of the lemon formula we must learn yet another system. We have to travel to South Asia in a land called Bharat or India. That's where numbers originate. Did you know that the West never fully learned how to use numbers? It's true. They adopted only half the system. This may be the fault of Fibonacci who cut his visit to India short and returned to Italy. Wow! It just dawned on me. I can actually relate to that. And not every American can get an Indian visa because as I'm writing this Trump is worsening ties with Asia.
Anyhow in the West we put a coma after every three digits 3, 3, 1 so 9 million is:
9,000,000
In India it's 3: 2, 2. We say ninety Lakh:
90,00,000
The Sanskrit System or SS for short uses Lakhs which is a hundred thousand and Crores which is ten million. The reason this is a superior system is that it cuts down on words. It's actually faster. Below are some charts.
L = 1,00,000
CR = 1,00,00,000 (3: 2, 2)
| Abbreviation | Written |
|---|---|
| 2L | two hundred thousand |
| 5L | five hundred thousand |
| 99L | nine million nine hundred thousand |
| 100L = CR | ten million |
- Russia has 15 CR people or a hundred and fifty million people
- America has 30 CR people or three hundred million people
3: 2, 2 7,05,35,710
3, 3, 2 70,535,710
| Type | Written |
|---|---|
| ABR | 7CR 5L 35K 7C X |
| Global | seventy million five hundred thirty five thousand seven hundred and ten |
| SS | seven crore five lakh thirty five thousand seven hundred and ten |
Still confused about what a crore is? Check out my post on demonology to really lock it in. Now that you understand both the lemon formula and the Sanskrit System let's put the two together.
| Unit | Conversion | Usage |
|---|---|---|
| Joule (J) | 1 | tiny batteries, replaces mWh |
| Lemon Slice (LS) | 10 kJ | emotions, small tasks |
| Lemon (LM) | 100 kJ | food energy, small devices, replaces kJ |
| Kilo Lemon (KL) | 1k lemon | standard for household electricity billing, replaces kWh |
| Lakh Lemon (LL) | 100 thousand lemon | for industrial or grid-scale energy, replaces MWh |
| Crore Lemon (CL) | 10 million lemon | for power plants, replaces GWh |
| Kharab Lemon (KHL) | 100 billion lemon | for global energy consumption, replaces TWh |
| Lemon a second (Ls) | 100 kW or 134 hp | replaces horsepower and kilowatts |
For TWh we have to push the Sanskrit system to the max. 100 Lakh is one Crore. A hundred Crore is one Arab which is the same as a billion. A hundred Arab is a Kharab which has 11 zeros. This is the same as a hundred billion.
- 🍋 1 LS - the energy it takes to fold the laundry (10 kJ)
- 🍋 85 LM - the amount of food energy the average person needs a day (8,500 kJ)
- 🍋 180 LM - Tesla 50km average daily commute (5 kWh)
- 🍋 1,300 LM - Combustion engine 50km average daily commute (36 kWh)
- 🍋 1.08 KL - average 4 person daily electricity usage (30 kWh)
- 🍋 3.8 LL - average 4 person annual electricity usage (10.8 MWh)
- 🍋 4,710 CL - Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam or GERD monthly output (1,308 GWh)
- 🍋 878,328 - KHL global energy consumption (24,398 TWh)
- 🍋 3 Ls - average power of a car (300 kW or 400 hp)
As you can see by now the lemon formula feels less Babylonian since it doesn't rely on the sexagesimal system at all. It's more Global and intuitive.
