How did Sabbaticals work?
When I first heard about the Dead Sea Scrolls I was intrigued by the idea that everyone could be wrong. From a deeply religious and fanatical perspective I thought "you don't get the blessings unless you keep the Holidays on the correct days". It seemed logical that the Creator had to bless those that properly observed the times and the seasons just so they could keep the Sabbaticals - years in which work is not permitted. It proved to be true.
Now from a strictly scientific perspective it's also true. All we are doing on this blue dot we call a planet is fighting the law of thermal dynamics. It's just time management. Carlos Slim, Mexicos Lebanese billionaire is quoted as having said
"you work really hard? No, No, you...you not organized!"
Struggle and unnecessary hard work are usually signs of inefficiency, incompetency and inexperience. Anything that is efficient takes less time and GPC just streamlines the entire process we call life. It does actually improve every aspect of daily living. All of it.
Look into the life of any CEO - our blessed schedule masters and what separates themselves from the masses is how much they value their time. They don't waste any of it. This is why my original thought is correct.
