The land had rest forty years. Othniel the son of Kenaz died.
וַתִּשְׁקֹט הָאָרֶץ אַרְבָּעִים שָׁנָה וַיָּמָת עָתְנִיאֵל בֶּן־קְנַז׃
So Moab was subdued that day under the hand of Israel. The land had rest eighty years.
וַתִּכָּנַע מֹואָב בַּיֹּום הַהוּא תַּחַת יַד יִשְׂרָאֵל וַתִּשְׁקֹט הָאָרֶץ שְׁמֹונִים שָׁנָה׃

After him was Shamgar the son of Anath, who struck of the Philistines six hundred men with an ox goad: and he also saved Israel.
וְאַחֲרָיו הָיָה שַׁמְגַּר בֶּן־עֲנָת וַיַּךְ אֶת־פְּלִשְׁתִּים שֵׁשׁ־מֵאֹות אִישׁ בְּמַלְמַד הַבָּקָר וַיֹּשַׁע גַּם־הוּא אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל׃
“In the days of Shamgar the son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the highways were unoccupied. The travelers walked through byways.
בִּימֵי שַׁמְגַּר בֶּן־עֲנָת בִּימֵי יָעֵל חָדְלוּ אֳרָחֹות וְהֹלְכֵי נְתִיבֹות יֵלְכוּ אֳרָחֹות עֲקַלְקַלֹּות׃
Seder Olam Rabbah 12:52
1. After him Deborah and Baraq ben Abinoam 40 years. Deduct from these the subjugation under Yabin and Sisera 20 years. (Jud. 6:1): "The Children of Israel did evil in the eyes of the Eternal; so the Eternal gave them into the hand of Midian for seven years. Forty years of Gideon, but the seven years of Midian are not counted in them. (Jud. 9:22): "Abimelekh lorded over Israel three years." (Jud. 10:1-2): "After Abimelekh there rose Tola` ben Puah ben Dodo from the tribe of Issakhar to save Israel .... He judged Israel for 23 years ... ." After him Yair from Gilead 22 years. Deduct from these one year that is counted for both of them.
“So let all your enemies perish, LORD, but let those who love him be as the sun when it rises in its strength.” Then the land had rest forty years.

So Midian was subdued before the children of Israel, and they lifted up their heads no more. The land had rest forty years in the days of Gideon.
וַיִּכָּנַע מִדְיָן לִפְנֵי בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְלֹא יָסְפוּ לָשֵׂאת רֹאשָׁם וַתִּשְׁקֹט הָאָרֶץ אַרְבָּעִים שָׁנָה בִּימֵי גִדְעֹון׃
Abimelech was prince over Israel three years.
וַיָּשַׂר אֲבִימֶלֶךְ עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵל שָׁלֹשׁ שָׁנִים׃
He judged Israel twenty-three years, and died, and was buried in Shamir.
וַיִּשְׁפֹּט אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל עֶשְׂרִים וְשָׁלֹשׁ שָׁנָה וַיָּמָת וַיִּקָּבֵר בְּשָׁמִיר׃

Jephthah judged Israel six years. Then Jephthah the Gileadite died, and was buried in the cities of Gilead.
וַיִּשְׁפֹּט יִפְתָּח אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל שֵׁשׁ שָׁנִים וַיָּמָת יִפְתָּח הַגִּלְעָדִי וַיִּקָּבֵר בְּעָרֵי גִלְעָד׃
While Israel lived in Heshbon and its towns, and in Aroer and its towns, and in all the cities that are along by the side of the Arnon, three hundred years; why didn’t you recover them within that time?
בְּשֶׁבֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּחֶשְׁבֹּון וּבִבְנֹותֶיהָ וּבְעַרְעֹור וּבִבְנֹותֶיהָ וּבְכָל־הֶעָרִים אֲשֶׁר עַל־יְדֵי אַרְנֹון שְׁלֹשׁ מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וּמַדּוּעַ לֹא־הִצַּלְתֶּם בָּעֵת הַהִיא׃
He had thirty sons; and thirty daughters he sent abroad, and thirty daughters he brought in from abroad for his sons. He judged Israel seven years.
וַיְהִי־לֹו שְׁלֹשִׁים בָּנִים וּשְׁלֹשִׁים בָּנֹות שִׁלַּח הַחוּצָה וּשְׁלֹשִׁים בָּנֹות הֵבִיא לְבָנָיו מִן־הַחוּץ וַיִּשְׁפֹּט אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל שֶׁבַע שָׁנִים׃
After him Elon the Zebulunite judged Israel; and he judged Israel ten years.
וַיִּשְׁפֹּט אַחֲרָיו אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל אֵילֹון הַזְּבוּלֹנִי וַיִּשְׁפֹּט אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל עֶשֶׂר שָׁנִים׃
He had forty sons and thirty sons’ sons, who rode on seventy donkey colts: and he judged Israel eight years.
וַיְהִי־לֹו אַרְבָּעִים בָּנִים וּשְׁלֹשִׁים בְּנֵי בָנִים רֹכְבִים עַל־שִׁבְעִים עֲיָרִם וַיִּשְׁפֹּט אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל שְׁמֹנֶה שָׁנִים׃
Then his brothers and all the house of his father came down, and took him, and brought him up, and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the burial site of Manoah his father. He judged Israel twenty years.
וַיֵּרְדוּ אֶחָיו וְכָל־בֵּית אָבִיהוּ וַיִּשְׂאוּ אֹתֹו וַיַּעֲלוּ ׀ וַיִּקָּבֵר אֹותֹו בֵּין צָרְעָה וּבֵין אֶשְׁתָּאֹל בְּקֶבֶר מָנֹוחַ אָבִיו וְהוּא שָׁפַט אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל עֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה׃
He judged Israel in the days of the Philistines twenty years.
וַיִּשְׁפֹּט אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל בִּימֵי פְלִשְׁתִּים עֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה׃
🚫Remember that Samson did not stop the 40 year oppression of the Philistines until the day he died. This means we include his 20 year judgeship inside the 40 years of Philistine oppression. Many chronologists make the mistake of adding it, thus giving us 60 years instead of 40.
🚫Further Eli was a contemporary of Samson and he reigned through the full 40 years of the Philistine Oppression. We know this because Eli died as a result of the Philistines capturing the Ark which ended his 40 years. They only had it 7 months until it was transferred to Kirjath Jearim where it remained 20 years in all(I Sam. 7:1-2). Adding Eli's 40 years to the 40 year Philistine oppression and the 20 years of Samson gives us 100 years! 40+40+20. A gross 60 year error!
🚫Samson and Samuel, though it is not generally recognized, were contemporaries. Samuel and Saul died the same year David became king in Hebron. Saul reigned forty years during which he fought the Philistines. This means during the last ten years of the Philistine oppression David fought Goliath and was a contemporary with Eli, Samson and Saul. Many Chronologists end the period of the judges beginning with kingship of Saul. This is a gross error.
"Samuel continued as Israel’s judge for the rest of his life."
When he made mention of the ark of God, Eli fell from off his seat backward by the side of the gate; and his neck broke, and he died; for he was an old man, and heavy. He had judged Israel forty years.
וַיְהִי כְּהַזְכִּירֹו ׀ אֶת־אֲרֹון הָאֱלֹהִים וַיִּפֹּל מֵעַל־הַכִּסֵּא אֲחֹרַנִּית בְּעַד ׀ יַד הַשַּׁעַר וַתִּשָּׁבֵר מַפְרַקְתֹּו וַיָּמֹת כִּי־זָקֵן הָאִישׁ וְכָבֵד וְהוּא שָׁפַט אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל אַרְבָּעִים שָׁנָה׃

A length is not given to his reign which has no impact on chronology.
Therefore the LORD’s anger was kindled against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of Cushan Rishathaim king of Mesopotamia: and the children of Israel served Cushan Rishathaim eight years.
וַיִּחַר־אַף יְהוָה בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל וַיִּמְכְּרֵם בְּיַד כּוּשַׁן רִשְׁעָתַיִם מֶלֶךְ אֲרַם נַהֲרָיִם וַיַּעַבְדוּ בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת־כּוּשַׁן רִשְׁעָתַיִם שְׁמֹנֶה שָׁנִים׃
The children of Israel served Eglon the king of Moab eighteen years.
וַיַּעַבְדוּ בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת־עֶגְלֹון מֶלֶךְ־מֹואָב שְׁמֹונֶה עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה׃
The LORD sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, who reigned in Hazor; the captain of whose army was Sisera, who lived in Harosheth of the Gentiles. The children of Israel cried to the LORD: for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and twenty years he mightily oppressed the children of Israel.

the LORD’s anger was kindled against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of the Philistines, and into the hand of the children of Ammon. They troubled and oppressed the children of Israel that year. For eighteen years, they oppressed all the children of Israel that were beyond the Jordan in the land of the Amorites, which is in Gilead.
וַיִּחַר־אַף יְהוָה בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל וַיִּמְכְּרֵם בְּיַד־פְּלִשְׁתִּים וּבְיַד בְּנֵי עַמֹּון׃ וַיִּרְעֲצוּ וַיְרֹצְצוּ אֶת־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בַּשָּׁנָה הַהִיא שְׁמֹנֶה עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה אֶת־כָּל־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר בְּעֵבֶר הַיַּרְדֵּן בְּאֶרֶץ הָאֱמֹרִי אֲשֶׁר בַּגִּלְעָד׃
The children of Israel again did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years.

וְאַחֲרָיו הָיָה שַׁמְגַּר בֶּן־עֲנָת וַיַּךְ אֶת־פְּלִשְׁתִּים שֵׁשׁ־מֵאֹות אִישׁ בְּמַלְמַד הַבָּקָר וַיֹּשַׁע גַּם־הוּא אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל׃
בימי שמגר בן ענת, בימי יעל, הדרכים הראשיות עמדו שוממות. העוברים הלכו בשבילים עקלקלים.
בִּימֵי שַׁמְגַּר בֶּן־עֲנָת בִּימֵי יָעֵל חָדְלוּ אֳרָחֹות וְהֹלְכֵי נְתִיבֹות יֵלְכוּ אֳרָחֹות עֲקַלְקַלֹּות׃

1. אחריו דבורה וברק בן אבינעם 40 שנה. מנכים מזה את השעבוד תחת יבין וסיסרא — 20 שנה. (שופטים ו, א): בני ישראל עשו הרע בעיני ה׳, וה׳ נתן אותם ביד מדין שבע שנים. ארבעים שנה של גדעון, אבל שבע שנות מדין לא נספרות בתוכן. (שופטים ט, כב): אבימלך משל על ישראל שלוש שנים. (שופטים י, א–ב): אחרי אבימלך קם תולע בן פואה בן דודו משבט יששכר להושיע את ישראל…. הוא שפט את ישראל 23 שנה…. אחריו יאיר הגלעדי 22 שנה. מנכים שנה אחת שנמנית לשניהם.
״כך ייאבדו כל אויביך, ה׳, ואוהביך יהיו כשמש שיוצאת בכוחה.״ אז הארץ שקטה ארבעים שנה.

הוא שפט את ישראל עשרים ושלוש שנה, מת, ונקבר בשמיר.
וַיִּשְׁפֹּט אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל עֶשְׂרִים וְשָׁלֹשׁ שָׁנָה וַיָּמָת וַיִּקָּבֵר בְּשָׁמִיר׃
אחריו קם יאיר הגלעדי, והוא שפט את ישראל עשרים ושתיים שנה.
וַיָּקָם אַחֲרָיו יָאִיר הַגִּלְעָדִי וַיִּשְׁפֹּט אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל עֶשְׂרִים וּשְׁתַּיִם שָׁנָה׃

יפתח שפט את ישראל שש שנים. אחר כך מת יפתח הגלעדי ונקבר בערי הגלעד.
וַיִּשְׁפֹּט יִפְתָּח אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל שֵׁשׁ שָׁנִים וַיָּמָת יִפְתָּח הַגִּלְעָדִי וַיִּקָּבֵר בְּעָרֵי גִלְעָד׃
ישראל ישב בחשבון ובנותיה, בערוער ובנותיה, ובכל הערים שעל יד הארנון שלוש מאות שנה. למה לא שחררתם אותן באותו זמן?
בְּשֶׁבֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּחֶשְׁבֹּון וּבִבְנֹותֶיהָ וּבְעַרְעֹור וּבִבְנֹותֶיהָ וּבְכָל־הֶעָרִים אֲשֶׁר עַל־יְדֵי אַרְנֹון שְׁלֹשׁ מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וּמַדּוּעַ לֹא־הִצַּלְתֶּם בָּעֵת הַהִיא׃

🚫שמשון לא עצר את שעבוד הפלשתים של 40 השנה עד יום מותו. לכן 20 שנות השפיטה שלו יושבות בתוך אותן 40. הרבה כרונולוגים מוסיפים אותן ומקבלים 60 במקום 40.
🚫עלי היה בן־זמנו של שמשון ושפט לאורך כל 40 שנות שעבוד הפלשתים. אנחנו יודעים את זה כי עלי מת כשהפלשתים לקחו את הארון — וזה סגר את 40 השנים שלו. הארון היה אצלם 7 חודשים, ואחר כך בקריית יערים 20 שנה בסך הכול (שמואל א ז, א–ב). 40 של עלי + 40 של הפלשתים + 20 של שמשון = 100 שנה. 40+40+20. טעות גסה של 60 שנה.

🚫याद रखो: शिमशोन ने पलिश्ती दमन के 40 वर्ष उस दिन तक नहीं रोके जिस दिन वह मरा। उसके 20 वर्ष उन 40 के अंदर बैठते हैं। बहुत से कालक्रमकार उन्हें जोड़ देते हैं और 60 बना देते हैं 40 की जगह।
🚫एली शिमशोन का समकालीन था और पूरे 40 वर्ष पलिश्ती दमन में न्यायाधीश रहा। हम यह जानते हैं क्योंकि सन्दूक छिन जाने से एली मरा, जिससे उसके 40 वर्ष पूरे हुए। उनके पास वह 7 महीने रहा, फिर किर्यत-यारीम में कुल 20 वर्ष (1 शमू. 7:1-2)। एली के 40 + पलिश्ती 40 + शिमशोन के 20 = 100 वर्ष! 40+40+20। साठ वर्ष की भारी भूल!
🚫शिमशोन और शमूएल, यद्यपि यह आम तौर पर नहीं माना जाता, समकालीन थे। शमूएल और शाऊल उसी वर्ष मरे जब दाऊद हेब्रोन में राजा बना। शाऊल चालीस वर्ष राज्य किया और पलिश्तियों से लड़ा। अर्थात दमन के अंतिम दस वर्षों में दाऊद ने गोलियत से युद्ध किया और एली, शिमशोन और शाऊल का समकालीन था। बहुत से कालक्रमकार शाऊल के राज्याभिषेक से न्यायकर्ताओं को काट देते हैं। यह भारी भूल है।

यहोवा का क्रोध इस्राएल पर भड़का, और उसने उन्हें पलिश्तियों के हाथ और अम्मोनियों के हाथ बेच दिया। उन्होंने उसी वर्ष इस्राएलियों को सताया और कुचला। अठारह वर्ष तक उन्होंने यरदन पार अमोरी देश में, जो गिलाद है, सब इस्राएलियों पर अत्याचार किया।

וַתִּשְׁקֹט הָאָרֶץ אַרְבָּעִים שָׁנָה וַיָּמָת עָתְנִיאֵל בֶּן־קְנַז׃
Así fue Moab sometido aquel día bajo la mano de Israel. La tierra reposó ochenta años.
וַתִּכָּנַע מֹואָב בַּיֹּום הַהוּא תַּחַת יַד יִשְׂרָאֵל וַתִּשְׁקֹט הָאָרֶץ שְׁמֹונִים שָׁנָה׃

Después de él estuvo Samgar hijo de Anat, que hirió a seiscientos hombres de los filisteos con una aguijada de bueyes: y también él libró a Israel.
וְאַחֲרָיו הָיָה שַׁמְגַּר בֶּן־עֲנָת וַיַּךְ אֶת־פְּלִשְׁתִּים שֵׁשׁ־מֵאֹות אִישׁ בְּמַלְמַד הַבָּקָר וַיֹּשַׁע גַּם־הוּא אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל׃
“En los días de Samgar hijo de Anat, en los días de Jael, los caminos quedaron desocupados. Los viajeros andaban por senderos.

Después de él se levantó Jair galaadita; y juzgó a Israel veintidós años.

Jefté juzgó a Israel seis años. Entonces murió Jefté galaadita, y fue sepultado en las ciudades de Galaad.
וַיִּשְׁפֹּט יִפְתָּח אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל שֵׁשׁ שָׁנִים וַיָּמָת יִפְתָּח הַגִּלְעָדִי וַיִּקָּבֵר בְּעָרֵי גִלְעָד׃
Mientras Israel habitó en Hesbón y sus aldeas, y en Aroer y sus aldeas, y en todas las ciudades que están junto al Arnón, trescientos años; ¿por qué no las recobrasteis en aquel tiempo?
בְּשֶׁבֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּחֶשְׁבֹּון וּבִבְנֹותֶיהָ וּבְעַרְעֹור וּבִבְנֹותֶיהָ וּבְכָל־הֶעָרִים אֲשֶׁר עַל־יְדֵי אַרְנֹון שְׁלֹשׁ מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וּמַדּוּעַ לֹא־הִצַּלְתֶּם בָּעֵת הַהִיא׃
Tuvo treinta hijos; y treinta hijas envió fuera, y treinta hijas trajo de fuera para sus hijos. Juzgó a Israel siete años.
וַיְהִי־לֹו שְׁלֹשִׁים בָּנִים וּשְׁלֹשִׁים בָּנֹות שִׁלַּח הַחוּצָה וּשְׁלֹשִׁים בָּנֹות הֵבִיא לְבָנָיו מִן־הַחוּץ וַיִּשְׁפֹּט אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל שֶׁבַע שָׁנִים׃
Después de él Elón zabulonita juzgó a Israel; y juzgó a Israel diez años.

Tuvo cuarenta hijos y treinta hijos de hijos, que cabalgaban sobre setenta pollinos: y juzgó a Israel ocho años.

Entonces descendieron sus hermanos y toda la casa de su padre, y lo tomaron, y lo subieron, y lo sepultaron entre Zora y Estaol en el sepulcro de Manoa su padre. Él juzgó a Israel veinte años.
וַיֵּרְדוּ אֶחָיו וְכָל־בֵּית אָבִיהוּ וַיִּשְׂאוּ אֹתֹו וַיַּעֲלוּ ׀ וַיִּקָּבֵר אֹותֹו בֵּין צָרְעָה וּבֵין אֶשְׁתָּאֹל בְּקֶבֶר מָנֹוחַ אָבִיו וְהוּא שָׁפַט אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל עֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה׃
Juzgó a Israel en los días de los filisteos veinte años.
וַיִּשְׁפֹּט אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל בִּימֵי פְלִשְׁתִּים עֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה׃
🚫Recuerda que Sansón no detuvo la opresión filistea de 40 años hasta el día en que murió. Eso significa que incluimos sus 20 años de juez dentro de esos 40. Muchos cronólogos cometen el error de sumarlos y sacan 60 en lugar de 40.
🚫Además Elí fue contemporáneo de Sansón y gobernó los 40 años enteros de la opresión filistea. Lo sabemos porque Elí murió al capturar los filisteos el arca, lo que cerró sus 40 años. Solo la tuvieron 7 meses hasta que pasó a Quiriat-jearim, donde permaneció 20 años en total (1 Sam. 7:1-2). Sumar los 40 de Elí + los 40 filisteos + los 20 de Sansón da 100 años. 40+40+20. Un error bruto de 60 años.
🚫Sansón y Samuel, aunque no se reconoce de ordinario, fueron contemporáneos. Samuel y Saúl murieron el mismo año en que David fue rey en Hebrón. Saúl reinó cuarenta años y luchó contra los filisteos. Eso significa que en los últimos diez años de la opresión David peleó con Goliat y fue contemporáneo de Elí, Sansón y Saúl. Muchos cronólogos cortan el periodo de los jueces al empezar el reinado de Saúl. Eso es un error bruto.
Cuando mencionó el arca de Dios, Elí cayó de su silla hacia atrás junto a la puerta; se le quebró el cuello, y murió; porque era hombre viejo y pesado. Había juzgado a Israel cuarenta años.
וַיְהִי כְּהַזְכִּירֹו ׀ אֶת־אֲרֹון הָאֱלֹהִים וַיִּפֹּל מֵעַל־הַכִּסֵּא אֲחֹרַנִּית בְּעַד ׀ יַד הַשַּׁעַר וַתִּשָּׁבֵר מַפְרַקְתֹּו וַיָּמֹת כִּי־זָקֵן הָאִישׁ וְכָבֵד וְהוּא שָׁפַט אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל אַרְבָּעִים שָׁנָה׃
Samuel juzgó a Israel todos los días de su vida.
וַיִּשְׁפֹּט שְׁמוּאֵל אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל כֹּל יְמֵי חַיָּיו׃
"Samuel continuó como juez de Israel el resto de su vida."
No se da duración a su gobierno. No altera la cronología.
Por tanto se encendió la ira del SEÑOR contra Israel, y los vendió en mano de Cusán-risataim rey de Mesopotamia: y los hijos de Israel sirvieron a Cusán-risataim ocho años.
וַיִּחַר־אַף יְהוָה בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל וַיִּמְכְּרֵם בְּיַד כּוּשַׁן רִשְׁעָתַיִם מֶלֶךְ אֲרַם נַהֲרָיִם וַיַּעַבְדוּ בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת־כּוּשַׁן רִשְׁעָתַיִם שְׁמֹנֶה שָׁנִים׃
Los hijos de Israel sirvieron a Eglón rey de Moab dieciocho años.
וַיַּעַבְדוּ בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת־עֶגְלֹון מֶלֶךְ־מֹואָב שְׁמֹונֶה עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה׃
El SEÑOR los vendió en mano de Jabín rey de Canaán, que reinaba en Hazor; el capitán de cuyo ejército era Sísara, que habitaba en Haroset de las Gentes. Los hijos de Israel clamaron al SEÑOR: porque tenía novecientos carros de hierro; y veinte años oprimió con rigor a los hijos de Israel.
וַיִּמְכְּרֵם יְהוָה בְּיַד יָבִין מֶלֶךְ־כְּנַעַן אֲשֶׁר מָלַךְ בְּחָצֹור וְשַׂר־צְבָאֹו סִיסְרָא וְהוּא יֹושֵׁב בַּחֲרֹשֶׁת הַגֹּויִם׃ וַיִּצְעֲקוּ בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶל־יְהוָה כִּי תְּשַׁע מֵאֹות רֶכֶב־בַּרְזֶל לֹו וְהוּא לָחַץ אֶת־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּחָזְקָה עֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה׃
Los hijos de Israel hicieron lo malo ante los ojos del SEÑOR: y el SEÑOR los entregó en mano de Madián siete años.
וַיַּעֲשׂוּ בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל הָרַע בְּעֵינֵי יְהוָה וַיִּתְּנֵם יְהוָה בְּיַד־מִדְיָן שֶׁבַע שָׁנִים׃
se encendió la ira del SEÑOR contra Israel, y los vendió en mano de los filisteos y en mano de los hijos de Amón. Aquel año afligieron y oprimieron a los hijos de Israel. Por dieciocho años oprimieron a todos los hijos de Israel que estaban allende el Jordán en tierra del amorreo, que es Galaad.
וַיִּחַר־אַף יְהוָה בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל וַיִּמְכְּרֵם בְּיַד־פְּלִשְׁתִּים וּבְיַד בְּנֵי עַמֹּון׃ וַיִּרְעֲצוּ וַיְרֹצְצוּ אֶת־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בַּשָּׁנָה הַהִיא שְׁמֹנֶה עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה אֶת־כָּל־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר בְּעֵבֶר הַיַּרְדֵּן בְּאֶרֶץ הָאֱמֹרִי אֲשֶׁר בַּגִּלְעָד׃
Los hijos de Israel volvieron a hacer lo malo ante los ojos del SEÑOR; y el SEÑOR los entregó en mano de los filisteos cuarenta años.
וַיֹּסִפוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לַעֲשֹׂות הָרַע בְּעֵינֵי יְהוָה וַיִּתְּנֵם יְהוָה בְּיַד־פְּלִשְׁתִּים אַרְבָּעִים שָׁנָה׃
